L'Alpe d'Huez
 
The Alpe d'Huez features a large skiable area accessible to all skier levels. Beginners can enjoy the well-equipped lower slopes, while more experienced skiers can try out a steep run and slopes as high as they could possibly wish for. The resort also has the longest black run in Europe: the famous Sarenne (magnificent!) with a 2,200 meter descent. The massif offers an enchanting panoramic view with a lot of sun thanks to its placement. Resort life is very active and offers many activities. All of these wonderful features overshadow the rather pitiful architecture and development of this little town.

Our opinion

Le Christiania is a 3-star apartment hotel of bold architecture ideally situated in the centre of Les Berges only 100 metres from a shopping centre. It consists of studios and two or three-room-apartments (6 people), they are spacious, modern, bright and fully-equipped, they are also fitted with a balcony. Alpe d’Huez is nicknamed "Ile au Soleil" -Island in the sun - and it is surely one of the sunniest resorts thanks to its altitude of 1860 metres, at the foot of the Grandes Rousses Massif. You will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Oisans Massif. Thanks to the Sports and Conference centre you have access to a great number of activities and cultural events.
