Our opinion

In the heart of the Aure Valley, a few kilometers from the Spanish border and 35 km from Tarbes, Saint-Lary Soulan has the warm and friendly atmosphere of an authentic Pyrenean village. The village resort combines tradition and modernity with its typical Pyrenean architectural style and sophisticated facilities. Many sporting, cultural, and discovery activities will entertain the whole family : excursions and walks, paragliding, white water sports, etc… and of course the delicious local gastronomy! In the surroundings there are number of other activities and visits for all: Maison de l’Ours, Initiation to Astronomy (July - August) Cider-house of Ancizan, Eagles of Aure “Volerie des Pyrenees”, the 4 Valleys apiary, Manganese Mines of Veille Aure, prehistoric caves of Gargas and Médou, and many more.
